 We recognize the importance of quality equipment while fishing our waters. Your safety and comfort is our primary concern. My plan is to completely replace all the boats with new equipment at the main lodge, mini lodges and fly out locations over the next two years. We will begin this process in 2006 until all new boats are in place.
Next in importance to your fishing guide and life preserver is a dependable outboard motor. A cranky outboard can easily ruin your whole day. Our outboard needs to start on the first pull, idle for hours when trolling for big lake trout, and be quiet and fuel efficient. That’s why we replace our outboards with new Mercury motors each year. 2006 will be no exception. Of course, fishing electronics are an important fishing tool to let you know what is going on in the depths below. A good depth finder can tell you a lot about a body of water. Hard bottom or soft? Are the fish suspended or on the bottom? Are bait fish present? Pinpoint drop-off locations and other structure. We use Eagle FishEasy depth finders.
